There are many stories about the Firoz Shah Kotla Fort, this fort has got one of the 10 scary places in Delhi, it is said that many spirits keep on walking in the fort and that is why no one should go by night or even during the day. The Khooni Darwaza or bloody door is located near the Delhi gate on the Bahadur Shah Zafar route. This gate was built for the Ferozabad it was built by Sher Shah Suri, the founder of the Muslim Brave Empire, which is also known as Kabuli Bazar because people coming from Afghanistan would pass through this gate. This 15.5-meter-high door is made of Quartzite stone in Delhi. After the surrender of Bahadur Shah Zafar on September 22, 1857, three princes of the Mughal dynasty were killed by British leader William Hudson, in which Bahadur Shah Zafar's son Mirza Mughal and Khizr Sultan and grandson Mirza Abu Bakr were involved. That's why this gate got a name bloody door. Today this door is a monument preserved by the Archaeological Survey of India. It has now been sealed completely and barred for entry of the public.
